Data Collection and Usage
When you sign up for a CountUp account, we collect your email address, password, and name. The email acts as both a communication channel and your login identifier, while we use your name for personalization in our communications.
Each time you login to CountUp, we store an entry with a set of identification tokens and your user information in your browsers local storage. This ensures that you remain logged in, eliminating the need to provide your credentials each time you access our platform. By signing up for CountUp, you grant us the permission to store this information in your browser, making it significantly more convenient for you to use our services.
We also use an additional local storage entry to store your personal application preferences, such as last selected date range or widget configiration on the dashboard. This further enhances your experience with our platform, by ensuring your personalized settings are consistently applied.
When you contact us for support or other reasons, we save your correspondence and email address. This ensures we have a context for any future interactions, helping us provide consistent service.
When you choose to upgrade to a paid plan, your payment details are managed externally through a Service called Paddle. For detailed information on how Paddle handles this data, please consult the Paddle Privacy Policy.
When we send you automated, transactional emails we do this using a service called Postmark. For a deeper understanding of their data practices, please review the Postmark Privacy Policy.

All collected data is stored securely on database servers located in Frankfurt, Germany. These servers are professionally managed and maintained by Timescale Inc. For a comprehensive understanding of how your data is handled on their end, we recommend reviewing Timescale's privacy policy.
We use additional servers for hosting our website, web application and to provide a CDN for our tracking snippet. These servers are also located in Frankfurt Germany and are maintained by Digital Ocean LLC. For more information please consult the Digital Ocean Privacy Policy.
